I've noticed that there is this thought pattern that nyx out lives twilight because she is an alicorn, how does that pattern stand now that twilight is an alicorn herself in the canon?

As reported on Equestria Daily, something like last week I think, one of those working on the show confirmed (on Twitter) that Twilight wouldn't outlive her friends... meaning that she is likely mortal OR that her friends will also get an extended life (maybe it's the Elements' doing ?) ?

Mmh. Bah... same as all the others, I would personally say.

After all, in my opinion, Nyx would live the whole event just about like Twilight's friends (except on a more 'family-based' level).

*During* the event itself... The author, of course, would be better fitted to provide a more ''related\personal'' interpretation, even if I have and could share my views too.
*After* the event, well... Nyx now shares a new common trait with Twilight

. Giving the big alicorn family new potential for harmony and things to do together.

Oh, I thought I already deleted that one. I didn't like the type of crowd that old one gathered. It was supposed to be funny, Nyx wearing Twilight Sparkle's bikini, but everyone thought it was 'kinky' and 'slutty'. Nevermind.
